I am a recent college graduate with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. During my undergraduate years, I coauthored a published article for a criminology journal. I went to school in the Greater Boston Area and spent the last year living in Manhattan, so I experienced much of what the cities have to offer in terms of entertainment, dining, and recreation. I am in the education field and have worked extensively with elementary and middle school students, particularly on social-emotional skills and behavior management. I am also well versed in child psychopathology and theories of counseling, with a special interest in mental illness. I interned at an eating disorder related nonprofit and recently won a scholarship to attend the National Eating Disorder Association conference. My hobbies include practicing yoga, traveling (I have been to and can write about 30+ states) and volunteering (I have worked with Habitat for Humanity and Special Olympics for many years).
